A family of howler monkeys!
Our stay was delightful! Watching howler monkeys swing through the trees while enjoying drinks at the on-site bar was surreal. The friendly staff added a personal touch to our experience.
The only downside was that the shower water temperature fluctuated. It was a bit inconvenient after a long day of exploring.

The view from our room was spectacular and
truly made our stay worthwhile. We enjoyed watching the birds from the balcony and the howler monkeys in the trees. However, it would have been nice to have some happy hour options available at the bar during our visit.

Families will find peace here
The spacious room had a beautiful river view, and the rustic feel of it gave me this cozy Belizean vibe. The bird activity around the hotel was a bonus, with various species visible from near the pool area.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but I found it to be reasonable for what you get.

I had an amazing stay at Black Orchid Resort! The staff were incredibly friendly and made sure all my needs were met. I loved the free use of canoes for exploring the river, and the Luxury Suite with Garden View was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The peaceful atmosphere and lush surroundings were just what I needed to relax after a busy day. Plus, the fresh, flavorful food was a highlight! It was nice to unwind with a cocktail after a day of adventures.
Some restaurant items were unavailable during my stay.

I had an amazing trip with my friends. We explored stunning Mayan ruins and climbed through waterfalls to reach breathtaking caves. The staff was super friendly, and we enjoyed using the kayaks and relaxing in the rooftop jacuzzi. Perfect after our daily adventures!
However, the standard room by the parking lot had an uncomfortable bed, making it hard to sleep well at night.

Wonderful staff and relaxing atmosphere
I had a fantastic two-night stay in a Double Room with River View, enjoying the serene riverside location and beautiful wood decor of my room. The staff members, especially Edmund, were incredibly friendly and provided great recommendations for local excursions, making us feel right at home. The pool area was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring, and the food served was delicious and fulfilling. However, it would be nice if there were more organized activities or tours immediately available on-site to enhance the experience further.

Perfect getaway by the river
This place was awesome! The staff was super friendly and really made our stay enjoyable. The room was spacious and spotless with a lovely river view. The pool area was great, and we even got to enjoy some drinks from the cute little bar. Just a heads up, it’s pretty far from anything else, so be prepared for the resort vibe.

Spacious room featured a refrigerator and provided bottled water, which was a thoughtful touch. The Belizean continental breakfast was delightful, with fryjacks and ripe fruit, though I encountered a limited dinner menu without available fish. The grounds were well-maintained, offering lovely seating areas near the river and around the pool, but some bugs detracted from my outdoor enjoyment.
